U of M Streetscapes

The University of Manitoba (U of M)  is western Canada’s first university and Manitoba's only research-intensive university. The University was seeking a clean and fresh look for a major thoroughfare and bus route to the university. This thoroughfare is grand and minimal, which made it easy for the design consultant Scatliff + Miller + Murray to work with Parkworks to develop a design direction for the entirety of the university's streetscapes.  The landscape renewal included the addition of trench grates, tree grates, and custom tree guards to accentuate the vibrant roadway.  Through the university, these modern, clean elements add a functional, uniquely designed look and feel.
