- Various Ground Sprays
Looking to add to their list of community amenities, the City of White Rock decided it was time to create an accessible and inclusive splash pad that would cater to all ages and abilities. Expanding on the pre-existing playground in Centennial Park, the new Generations Playground Splash Pad features several splashy water features, including a Sling Soaker to deliver big splashes, a Rain Forest and Waterleaf for towering sprays, and several different ground sprays. A Splash Blaster and Water O provide splashes from all angles, perfect for running and playing with friends, while a Waterfall 2 is perfect for little Waterplayers who want to explore all the different ways water works.
Parkworks worked with the landscape architect, Binnie, to provide conceptual designs for the splash pad, then assisted in refining the design to work within the budget and space available. Once a final splash pad design was complete, Parkworks’ splashiest partner, Waterplay, provided all the water features and let the general contractor, GPM Civil Contracting, handle the installation.
The Generations Playground Splash Pad made its splashy debut ahead of schedule and celebrated with a grand opening on August 21st, 2025 that drew in more than 60 attendees!
